Visiting professors

	Tessler Alexander Data inizio – Data fine: 01 Marzo 2019 - 01 Giugno 2019 Ente di provenienza: NASA Langley Research Center Dr. Tessler earned a Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1979. He started his professional career working as a senior aerospace engineer at Northrop Corporation in Hawthorne, California (1980-83), where he developed analytic and computational methods for linear and nonlinear composite structures in support of advanced fighter aircraft designs. He continued his career working at the U.S. Army Materials Technology Laboratory, Watertown, Massachusetts (1983-91), where as principal Investigator and program manager he formulated, managed, and conducted basic and applied structural integrity programs involving analytic and computational mechanics research. During the period of 1991 – 2017, Dr. Tessler worked as a senior research scientist at the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia.

	Nassar Elsayed Abdel-Ati Data inizio – Data fine: 01 Febbraio 2018 - 31 Luglio 2018 Ente di provenienza: Oakland Universirsity (Michigan) Professor Nassar got his PhD in 1981 at the University of Cincinnati; in the period 1985-2002 has been at the Lawrence Technological University (Michigan). In 2002 (since now) he moved to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Oakland University (Michigan).
	Mainini Laura Data inizio – Data fine: 01 Ottobre 2017 - 30 Aprile 2018 Ente di provenienza: Massachusetts lnstitute of Technology (MIT) Dr. Mainini earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. Her doctoral studies focused on the development of multidisciplinary and multi-fidelity methodologies for the design and optimization of aerospace systems - with emphasis on the design of aircraft wings undergoing large shape changes - for which she was awarded a Fulbright grant to conduct part of her research at Massachusetts lnstitute of Technology.

From 2009 to 2010, he taught automotive engineering at the Malaysia University of Technology . From 2011 to 2016 he has been an Associate Professor automotive engineering at the National University of Singapore. His teaching and research interests are in vehicle engineering, vehicle dynamics, body structure design, dynamics & vibrations and fatigue & fracture.
