Corso III livello - Servosystems: Characteristics, analytical tools and application to a use case: aircraft flight controls - proff. Giovanni Jacazio and Massimo Sorli

Aula Ferrari - II piano

Course description:
Objective of the course is to provide the skills for the analysis and design of typical mechanical servo-systems used for control of position, velocity, force and pressure. The servo-systems components are described, their functional characteristics are presented together with the typical design solutions and performance. The definitions are given for the design specifications that are typically taken for the servo-systems design and the methodologies for static and dynamic analysis are presented with reference to the relevant mathematical model of the servo-system. A second part of the course presents the application of servo-systems to primary flight controls of fixed and rotary wing aircraft where they are critical equipments for ensuring the control and the safety of the air vehicle.
