Design and experimentation of mechanical drive components, thermography and damping materials

The main research topics of the “Design and analysis of mechanical transmissions and Thermography” team are related to the mechanical transmissions components (gears, spline couplings, bearings, powertrain systems, ball screws, free wheels, etc.) and the fatigue behaviour of materials and components analysed by means of dissipative parameters (thermographic techniques).

The research activities may be in general carried on by experimental tests, numerical simulations and theoretical models.
