Biography

Pablo Romero Díaz is a first-year Ph.D student at Politecnico di Torino, Bioengineering Department, with Prof. M. A. Deriu. He graduated in Telecommunication Engineering at University of Granada (Spain) in 2019 with a thesis titled "Capacity and Data Rate optimization on LoRa networks". He is enrolled in an industrial Ph.D thanks to the EU-funded project PARENT (which aims for a multidisciplinary approach to develop diagnostic and predictive platforms focused on newborn motor/cognitive impairments) under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network 2020. He is currently working at 7HC company (which aims at being the point of reference for the development of new drugs) where is is designing and developing the software architecture of the decision-tool platform to predict NDTrj.

Pablo has also expertise in the following topics: Internet of Things (IoT) communication protocols, datascience, Programming language Python (scripting and statistical analysis) and MATLAB (simulation), Machine Learning (tensorflow), Database and Website development (SQL, HTML, CSS), Cloud Architecture Services (Amazon Web Services) Literature review, research and creative writing. He has been working in several different companies like Wazuh (ciber-security company) and IBM (technological company) so he has seen how it is working on different sized teams inside the different departments. Pablo is very proactive and he likes a lot the management and control of technological projects.
