Biography

Matteo Fois obtained both his Bachelor and Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin (IT), with a specialization in Fluid Dynamics. He developed his Master Thesis on Computational Haemodynamics in collaboration with the Institut de Mathématiques de Bordeaux (FR). He is enrolled as a PhD student in Aerospace Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin, currently working on multiscale cardiovascular modelling for clinical (assessing impact of cardiac arrhythmias on global and organ-specific hemodynamics, e.g. on the coronary circulation) and aerospace (investigate consequences of altered gravity, that is micro- and hypergravity, and spaceflight on the human cardiovascular system) applications.
