Biography

My name is Marta Tosini, I started my PhD in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences in November 2022 and my research activity focuses on the mechanical characterization of biological tissues and biomaterials. I currently work in the Solid and Fluid Biomechanics Group of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS) and I am also member of the PolitoBioMed Lab.
I was born in Brescia, Italy in 1995, I got my Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering at Università di Bologna-Alma Mater Studiorum in 2018 and my Master's degree in Biomedical engineering at Politecnico di Torino in 2021. My interest for the biomedical field brought me to switch the topic of my academic formation and during my Master's Degree thesis internship, studying the effect of mechanical stimuli on cultured cells, I discovered my passion for the world of research and innovation.
