Biography

I have a degree in Biomedical Engineering (specialization in Bionanotechnology) at the Polytechnic of Turin. Since January 2022 I have been enrolled in the Interuniversity PhD course in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences of the Polytechnic and the University of Turin. My research focuses on the design and development of eco/biocompatible systems for drug delivery. My interest in Bioengineering derives from my curiosity for science, engineering and innovation, strengthened during my studies, and from my attitude to social commitment, grown through my volunteering experiences with minors and people with disabilities. During my master thesis work I strengthened my passion for bionanotechnologies, regenerative medicine and biomaterials. In particular, during my master's thesis I designed and fabricated three-dimensional bioartificial deformable scaffolds for the development of an in vitro model of fibrotic heart tissue, through 3D printing techniques, within the project ERC BIORECAR. Thanks for participating in this PhD program, I am carrying on my experimental activity within the ERC BIORECAR project. My current research is aimed at developing green systems for drug delivery, in a stimulating context that promotes teamwork, and which also involves international companies and research groups.
