Biography

Bianca Griffo is a PhD student in Bioengineering and Medical-Surgical Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Umberto Morbiducci. Bianca obtained her B.Sc in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 from Politecnico di Torino and her M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering with specific pathway Biomechanics in 2021 from Politecnico di Torino with final mark 110/110 cum laude, after developing her Master's Degree Thesis based on an experimental project with title "A low-cost and compact experimental set-up for Particle Tracking Velocimetry on realistic phantoms of coronary arteries" at PolitoBioMed Lab. From July 2022 to October 2022, Bianca had a research scholarship, conducting experimental tests following test protocols for the assessment of a commercial cardiovascular device. From November 2022 Bianca is a PhD candidate of the aforementioned joint PhD programme between Politecnico di Torino and Università di Torino. Bianca's PhD scholarship is mainly focused on exploiting machine learning methods in the context of cardiovascular biomechanics and is in collaboration with Altair Engineering Inc. During these years Bianca gained competences both in terms of experimental and computational hemodynamics.
