Hard tissue engineering

Our approach to Bone Tissue Engineering employs bio-inspired synthetic and natural polymers, such as type I collagen extracted in our laboratory, for the design of scaffolds able to induce bone regeneration. A biomimetic approach is also proposed for surface functionalization in order to control the release of specific molecules at the injured site.
